Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

Lettre du 26 août 1724 (de): Johann Christoph Olearius did not waste time on the sale of his collection. In August 1724, he sent a generic catalogue, in which he listed 27 categories according to which his collection was organized (among them Roman coins, medieval imperial coins, bracteats, oriental coins, coins of German principals, etc.); in total about 3,000 objects for which he demanded 1,200 Reichstaler (Library of Göttweig Abbey Cod. 691 204r–25v, 87r–v.; Mayer 2020).
