Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-Lettre du 13 janvier 1774 (de Lapal House, West Midlands): He remarks on the Roman medals N. has presented, saying that he has difficulty in reading the inscriptions but finds many of them to be coins of Roman emperors struck in the Greek colonies, less legible than many of those of the Grecian empire struck in Egypt etc. He complains of post office delays. He invites N. to visit, and hopes he has met with some coins before this. He mentions several he has got and others he wants. From the box of wax impressions for his seal he would like to choose Diana sitting, leaning upon one hand, and her bow in the other, before her her greyhound. He is afraid that Mr. Barret’s Basalts are not equal to Wedgwood and Bentley’s manufacture. He picks out the ones he thinks the best in Mr. Barret’s box.
