-Lettre du 6 octobre 1783 (de Lapal House, West Midlands): At his visit to Birmingham he was immensely impressed with Mr. Barker’s museum, which dwarfs his own collection of coins. Dr. Hunter’s book would show his Greek gold coin to be of Cnossos. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Eng. misc. d. 149, f° 152).
