Lettre du 13 sept. 1733 (d’Avignon) : « On m’a écrit de Paris à peu près les mêmes choses qu’à vous sur les ouvrages posthumes du Père Hardouin ; je doute que l’éditeur et le libraire se trouvent bien d’avoir imprimé tant de chimères et tant de paradoxes, la plupart insoutenables. Il est à présumer qu’il a cavé tout au plus fort, et comme joué de son reste dans ses dernières productions » (Bouhier VI, p. 37, n° 14).
