Lettre du 22 mars 1653 : sur l’achat de sa collection : « quando il prezzo sia rigoroso sempre mi sotto meno al giuditio di V.S. illustrissima e del signor Fittoni (Fytton), quando esso non si sia scordato di come si vendono le medaglie a Roma, come sento che ha perso la cognitione de ‘rittrati di marmo, nel giuditio che fa della testa di M. Aurelio per Commodo, che qui se ne ridono quelli che la viddero in mano mie ; signor Carlo, mio dico che mi rimetto al conveniente perché desidero sbrigarmi da esse ; la nota delle piccole et esterne ancora non l’ho fatta » (Firenze, Archivio di Stato, CS, serie III, 184, f. 43 ; voir Missere Fontana 2009, p. 229, note 289).
