Lettre du 24 juil. 1655 : au sujet de l’authenticité d’une monnaie de Drusilla « … mando alcuni scrittioni, una di esse mi par che autentichi la medaglia di Drussila dello Studio di Farnese nella quale è il nome di soror, parola non usata da gli antichi, per il che viene da alcuni stimata moderna, io dico che insieme con quella con l’Otto restituito da Tito doppo l’haverci fatto sopra assai reflessione, mi confermo sempre nella mia poca cognitione, non sapendo in esse vederci segnio alcuno di modernità et se io volessi dire la cognitione che io ne cavo da una sola parola, si potrebbe scoprir la sua antichità, si come di tutte le altre medaglie dubbiose » (Firenze, Archivio di Stato, CS, serie III, 163, f. 106-108 ; voir Missere Fontana 2009, p. 331, note 147).
