Lettre du 5 sept. 1743 : annonce l’envoi d’un volume promis, auquel il a joint deux préfaces, l’une de lui-même et l’autre empruntée à Vaillant ; précise que certaines monnaies égyptiennes manquantes doivent être prises du « Ptolémée latin » : « vous me feriez plaisir si vous faisiez confronter l’ouvrage François avec le Latin, je crois qu’on trouveroit que le premier a bien des avantages sur le dernier » (Den Haag, Koninklijke Bibliotheek, 73, B 27 – voir Raskolnikoff 1992, p. 484).
