18 August 1623 (from Paris): “L’ordine ch’io ho dato a V. S. per ricapito al Sr Taverniere e piu tosto per il libro del Goltzio o altra robba di volume che per le lettere, lequali anderanna molto più prontamente per il corrispondenti del Sr Ferrarino, che del Taverniere il quale non ha commercio tanto frequente” (Carpentras, Bibliothèque et Musée Inguimbert, Minutes et copies des lettres de Peiresc, V, f° 704v et 713v; Rooses et Ruelens III 1900, no. 347, p. 240).
