-Lettre du 2 avril (sans année) (de Pise) : “Quanto alle Osservazioni che ho fatto sull’ultima opera del Padre Froelich, e sopra il Re incognito, le distenderò e darò volentierissimo a Lei, ma per degni rispetti non mi par bene mandare ora a lui, come le dirò poi a voce. La medaglia in argento è appresso il Sig. Barone Stosch, che sento le abbia comunicate [c. 389 r.] al Padre Froelich, e perciò non potrei mandare il disegno, avendola solo in ceralacca. Avrò poi caro di vedere le giunte, e quando ella lo gradisca io vi aggiugnerei le mie osservazioni parlando dell’autore con quel rispetto e stima che egli merita, ed io ho sempre mostrata.” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 8, 388r-389r – online).
