-Lettre du 12 juin 1666 (de Rome) : « Il signor Francesco Gottifredi dal quale fui ieri per aiutarlo secondo il solito a metere in pulito l’opera già accennata a Vostra Altezza, mi significo per modo di discorso, che per non aver egli la nota chiesta altre volte all’Altezza Vostra delle medaglie ch’ella desidera d’avere per compimento dello studio, era stato astretto a lasciarsi scappare di mano alcune medaglie rarissime, non sapendo se fussero di quelle che le mancavano » (Firenze, ASF, Carteggio d’artisti, X, f° 158r et v ; Giovannini 1984, p. 147, lettre 50 et M.
