-Lettre du 22 août 1671 (de Rome) : « La medaglia che qui inclusa mando a Vostraz Altezza, mi è stata portata dal medesimo che mi ha venduto il putto di bronzo, e credo che sia stata trovata nella medesima cava. Vostra Altezza, che ne conoscerà subito la rarità e più di meglio la singolarità, non avendosi ch’io sappia in alcun studio famoso d’Italia, medaglia di Claudio col rovescio della testa di Antonia, credo che si rallegrerà della fortuna che ho avuta in servrila e stimerà bene spese le due doppie che mi è costata » (Firenze, ASF, Carteggio d’artisti, XI, f° 346 ; M.
