-Lettre du 6 juil. 1669 (de Rome) : « Dal Bancherotto mi sono state portate questa settimana un cameo con la testa d’Alessandro et una medaglia d’oro rarissima che ha da una parte la testa di Giulio Cesare e d’all’altra quella di M. Antonio. V(ostra) A(ltezza) troverà aggiunti alla presente l’uno e l’altro e quanto ai prezzi quello ch’egli ne domanda è: del cameo, scudi sei, e dalla medaglia ventiquatro. Circa al primo stimano questi intendi che il prezzo sia ragionevole, ma quanto a quello della medaglia, benché rarissima, giudicano che non si debba passare dodici o quindici, quando V(ostra) A(ltezza) per sua sodisfazione non volesse eccedere.» (Firenze, ASF, Carteggio d’artisti, X, f° 263; Giovannini 1984, p. 280-1, lettre 147).
