-Lettre du 14 sept. 1669 (de Rome) : « Ricevo questa settimana insieme con la benignissima di V(ostra) A(ltezza) la medaglia d’oro e l’intaglio da lei inviatomi et havrei già eseguiti i comandamenti di V(ostra) A(ltezza), in farle vedere a questi intendenti e darlene ragguaglio, se la perdita, che ho fatta appunto in questi giorni di mia madre, che sia in cielo, non mi havesse impedito di sodisfare in questo alle parti del mio debito. Non mancherò però di farlo quanto prima e nel medesimo tempo significherò anche a V(ostra) A(ltezza) il parere de’ medesimi circa alla medaglia greca di M(arco) Aurelio, né occorrendomi altro per hora (...) « (Firenze, ASF, Carteggio d’artisti, X, f° 274; Giovannini 1984, p. 289, lettre 157).
