-Lettre du 1 mars 1749 (de Ravenna) : « Ne ho pure avute altre scritte, ma sono Basilidiane e però cose da lasciarsi. Ho avuto in mano il carteggio letterario del Cupero con M.r Fontanini e ho trovato (senza pure) la medaglia da me spiegata contro l’opinione del C.e Vettori, e il Cupero anch’egli pensò essere amuleti. Che belle cose potrei aggiungere, se il Sig.r Vettori non fusse sì dilicato, e soffistico. Ma non voglio inquietarlo. Credo, che avrà data al Sig.r Barone Stosch la mia lettera con le medaglie di Malta. Già per la S. C. ne verrà il suo esemplare. » (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 23, f° 90r – online).
