-Lettre du 30 mars 1743 (de Rome): “Il consaputo Vailante saria di già terminato se non fossero le nuove aggiunte che di mano in mano vengono con le notizie somministrate, si che dentro il prossimo mese di Giugno si darà fuori tutto l’intiero corpo diviso in tre tomi come già gli notificai e verrà una buona opera tanto più che sarà purgata, à dato occasione a tal ritardo la malattia del influenza, ma grazie al Signore sono del tutto cessate come credo che sia anche costì; venne nuova in Roma che fosse morto il Barone Stosce, ma poi fu messa in dubbio tale morte, desidero sapere quando fosse vero, la sua robba a chi sia rimasta, e se vi sia cose di rarità e gran valore.” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 12, f° 310r-311r – online).
