-Lettre du 29 jan. 1715 (de Besançon) : « Je dirai seulement au regard d’une des pièces, qui est celle d’une tirelire païenne, que celle dont on voit la figure et le dessin a été trouvée à Lyon près de vingt pieds sous terre et pleine de petites pièces de monnaie de toutes espèces. Elle est faite de terre cuite rouge et telle qu’on la dépeint. J’ai vu le cabinet de Mr Bitherey jésuite ; il est plus riche en médailles qu’en figures et en antiques. J’ai cependant trouvé ce que V.
