Lettre du 6 avril 1728 (de Florence): "E prima per regola generale non dee prendersi la circonferenza delle medaglie per carattere indubitato della grandezza, ma bensì il peso essendovene molto scarse di giro, ma colla proporzione delle teste e figure di altre più rotonde che non per questo peseranno di meno, o almeno col solo divario di uno o due danari.
