Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
-Lettre du 28 juin 1733 (de Leiden): [ [Not entirely decipherable]. ] He thanks him for the loan of coins: Vaillantius, as O. knows, left (those of) the Macedonian Kings intact, and H. has collected much material on their history, writing their lives on the evidence of coins and as confirmed by editions of ancient writers. The history of the remaining kings may follow, but he must be careful not to repeat what others have written. He is at last free from the drudgery of being tied down to research on Morellus and other sources, and has completed the indexes. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS D’Orville 486 fol. 239).
