I have gote 2 silver coins of James the First, as I suppose, one with Villa de Edinburgh, another with Villa de Roxburgh, some[quhat] broader then a sixpenny piece; as also a Saxon coin, as I take it, of the same bigness. I can make nothing of the kings name; on the reverse is Posui deum adjutorem meum Civitas London; and a lesser on, quhich seems to be one of the Henrys. An accompte of quhat additions you have gote to your noble collection would be extreamly acceptable.'
