'Y^rs of Ap’ the 18^th making no mention of the medals I wrote to you about [I] doe conclude my Leter must have miscarryed. I have for some months past had a parcel by me at y^r Service; & the best account I can give of y^m is This, viz.
Faustina in gold. Eleven drams, & 3 grains.
Twelve gold medals of a lesser sort. 27 dms.
Thirty seven Silver medals. 12 of the largest sort & if my books deceie me not, two of y^m are Raritys.
I have offered 175 dollars for y^m, but the Owner talks of a greater price, & I am pre[ ] Confident will not part w^th y^m for less yⁿ two hundred. They are now in my possession, & I wait y^r Ans[ ] to y^s before I return them, w^ch I desire you send by the first Opportunity.'
