'And I have the pleasure to advise you of 504 brass medals, now in my Possession; of wch one third, I presume, are Legible. They are intirely at my disposal, & belong to a Xtian of a very reasonable Dispositn; so, doubt not, we shall soon settle the price, after yr perusal of the Catalogue, wch I promise to send you wth the greatest exactness & Expedition, that my Abilitys & Opportunity will admit of.
... I am very sorry for the Disappointmt we have both met wth in the seven medals wth Arabick Caracters, sent under Mr Stampers cover; & should be glad to have a more favourable Acct of them. ...
The Catalogue of the medals I shall begin to do & shall forward it by peice meal, every olai[?](?) till It is finishd & then desire to know wt you think the value of them.'
