Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
'... I was desired by a particular friend to write enquire of you whither you have or where you have seen any Coins or other Antiquities relating to the Kingdom of the Northumber’; for there is a reverend person eminent for his skill in antiquities (Mr Nicholson Archd. of Carlisle) that hath made great progress in illustrating the Antiquity of that Kingdom; so that if you were to acquaint me wth any such thing, you will in an extraordinary manner oblige my friend and that worthy person the Undertaker (who is Uncle to Mr Archer) who I do not question would be very ready to communicate any thing of the like nature to you.' (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Aubrey 13, ff.199-200; Burnett 2020b, p. 897)
