Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
'This month dyed Mr. Wale, of Abbot’s Colne, in Essex, who possesses the Abby house and neglected chapel, the sepulture of the great family of the Veres, earls of Oxford. He owned the famous trijugate coin of Carausius which Mr. Gray procured for my ingraving. I solicited Mr. Wale for it without success. He gave it to General Honywood, who gave it to the cabinet of the Marquis of Rockingham.' (Lukis 1882-1887, vol. 2, p. 167; Burnett 2020b, p. 1063 n. 479)
