'A catalogue of Harley's English coins from ancient Britain to Charles II. Labelled ‘M.S.S. ENGLISH COINS’ on the spine. Wanley passed quickly over the ancient British: ‘British Gold. Here are about Ten or a Dozen Pieces so called or Reputed: most of which I rather take to be old Spanish; and shall now wave the description of them, untill more help arrive’s, both of coins & Books’ (!). Some of it—maybe this was the only part he completed—was ready by August 1725, as shown by Wanley's diary entry for 3 August 1725' (Burnett 2020b, p. 1037 n. 260)
