22 April 1627 (from Antwerp): “Il pacquetto del sig. de Peyresc ho ricevuto nel piego del sig. Ambasciatore, che mi è stato gratissimo per veder resuscitato quel amico, e la sua curiosità rediviva nelle antichità, particolarmente de’ camei et medaglie, poichè mi scrive una lettera copiosissima, ripiena di bellissime osservationi nove in quella materia, che mi ha ricreato grandissimamente” (Paris, BnF, Ms. Dupuy 714, f°; Rooses & Ruelens IV 1904, no. 497, p. 244).
