'Dr Tanner hath a great Collection of English Medals at Norwich. He collects only in this way, not in Greek or Roman or any foreign ones. He hath many Gold ones at Oxford, several of wch he shewed me. I asked him for one of Ric. II. He said he had one at Norwich. I asked him for one of Ric. III. he shewed me a gold Angel of his. I told him I wanted one of Ric. III with his face, wch this had not. he said he had no one with it.' (Hearne 1885, vol. 10, p. 64; Burnett 2020b, p. 735)
